The Bridegroom Workshop is back!

Back in 2012 I ran a Bridegroom Workshop for guys who wanted to really make sure they knew what to expect on their wedding day and wanted to give their fiancé an amazing experience. Now, as part of my war on boring weddings, they’re back.

The first event is to be held on the evening of Tuesday 31st March! If you’d like to attend please email paul@thepartydj.co.uk

The WOW Wedding Evening

wow_007

wow_008Two weeks ago, at the beginning of the month, I hosted an event at Ampfield Golf Club. The evening “The WOW Wedding” was all about creating an amazing wedding by focusing on making it truly personal and connecting with all of your guests.

This was the first time I’d presented on this subject and I was delighted to see plenty of couples who wanted to listen to what I had to share. The bottom line is that I believe weddings have been “dumbed down” and there are dozens things that you can do to avoid a boring wedding.

I’ll be presenting this event again in a couple of months time. I also plan to hold one of my “I’m The Man” Bridegroom’s evenings soon – these are just for the guys and are designed to explain what to expect on their wedding day and how they can make their brides day absolutely amazing.

Tuesday 3rd February ~ Creating Your WOW Wedding!

Save The Date

I am on a quest to stop boring weddings and help you create Your WOW Wedding.

The thing is, in my humble opinion, weddings have been dumbed down. I was talking to a bride recently who had been at a wedding the day before – “how was it?” I asked her, her reply – “it was OK”. Weddings shouldn’t be OK, they should be AMAZING!

If you’ve been looking at my recent vlogs (see below) you’ll have seen that I have plenty of ideas and thoughts I’ve been sharing. I have a twenty page basic guide to planning a WOW Wedding and if you email me at paul@thepartydj.co.uk I’ll send you a pdf copy.

To expand on the ideas in the “Your WOW Wedding” guide I’m hosting an event on Tuesday 3rd February (two weeks today) when I’ll run through some great ways of incorporating the ideas from the guide into your wedding. The evening is being held at Ampfield Golf Club.

Admission is by ticket only. If you’d like to come please email me for tickets – they are on sale through a FaceBook campaign but I have some to give away on a first come first served basis. Email paul@thepartydj.co.uk

Please share this with anyone you know who are planning their wedding. It’s not a hard-sale meeting it’s an opportunity for every couple to find out how a wedding works and what they can do to make it a truly personal and memorable day ~ A WOW Wedding!

Wedding Planning Tips

So, how am I doing?  I said I was going to post 100 vlogs in 2015 and so far so good with that.

The question is, is anyone (beside DJ’s who want to know what I know 😉 ) actually watching my vlogs?  I’d love to hear what YOU think – just a quick email to paul@thepartydj.co.uk would be brilliant.

You can use the same email address to get a copy of my “Your WOW Wedding” guide and also if you want to find out more about the special event I’m holding on Tuesday 3rd February.

Paul’s Vlog 5 ~ Wedding Budget!

Winslowe House Wedding DJ

Hello, I’m in London for a few days doing some more training – and LOVING IT!

So, here’s just a quick look at my thinking regarding Wedding budgeting that I prepared a few days ago.

Dates for your diary

New Forest DJ

One of the suggestions to help with the early stages of wedding planning from my blog yesterday (previous post below) was to visit wedding fairs. It will help you get ideas of what’s on offer in your area.

Take time to talk to the suppliers at their displays, especially the well-established businesses – these people are often experts and have great insights into what else is available.

Be careful not to get too excited and start booking things – just look, talk to people and gather information.

I’ll be at several fairs over the coming months. My first will be next weekend at the St Mary’s Stadium on Sunday 11th January.

St Mary's

As well as exhibiting I’ll be providing the soundtrack for the fashion show with gowns supplied by the excellent Sofi Bridal from Basingstoke. It’s worth noting there is no Southampton Guildhall wedding fair this Spring, it will be back in the Autumn.

Rhinefield Wedding DJThe following Sunday, 18th January, I’ll be at Rhinefield House in the heart of The New Forest.

In February I’ll be at fairs at New Place on Sunday the first, Plaitford Village Hall on Saturday 21st, and Salisbury Racecourse on Sunday twenty-second. My brochure will also be in the goodie bags at the fair at The Botleigh Grange.

There are more wedding fairs to be announced, so keep an eye out here.

If you are planning your wedding I also have one more date I’d like you to consider for your diary …
