Monday ~ You Should Be Dancing

I have a lot of catching up to do between now and then – whenever that is! In the meantime here’s some inspiration for any of you dancers out there, or couple thinking about the first dance for their Wedding …

By the way, I hope to be launching full details soon of the first dance package I’ll be offering for couples who want some help planning something special for their Wedding – that’s right The Party DJ have their own choreographer!

A Taste Of Summer

It’s all a bit manic at the moment getting ready for my run of Christmas Diner Dances at the DeVere Grand Harbour Hotel and Saturday’s Wedding for Cath and Paul, so I haven’t had a chance to do any new videos this week. The weather has turned wintery earlier than usual – much of the country has snow, but not us – yet!

So, here’s a video we shot at the beginning of Summer for Mark’s 50th Birthday party to remind us all of what lovely weather we can look forward to. It was a great event with a lovely group of people and the very talented Ellie Price.

Here’s a video Directed by Mark’s son James of Ellie’s track “Pencilled in”

Ellie Price singing her brilliant, original song, ‘Pencilled In’ in a music video. Directed by James Harding as part of a Gold Arts Award Project. Hope you like it!

Wedding Tips ~ Video 2 ~ Your Venue

Here’s my second video of thoughts which may help when planning a Wedding – or any function with a band or disco.

Before you watch I just want to say I don’t have all the answers – but what I’m trying to do with these videos is share my experience and give you food for thought.

Also, I’m not really this grumpy – honest ;o)

Anyway, here it is. Please let me have your feedback. It would be great if you give the video a thumbs up on YouTube, and you may wish to check out our other videos.

The comedy night package includes a glass of festive fizz, 3-course dinner, coffee and mince pies, comedy, disco – even crackers and novelties. All this at one of the areas finest hotels in the area for £39.50 per person

Drinks reception and bar open from 6.45pm, dinner will be served at 7.45pm, the entertainment starts at 9.30pm, and the party will finish at midnight.

The original dates were Friday 10th and Saturday 11th December, and then Thursday 16th, Friday 17th December, and Saturday 18th December. I’m now also booked for Friday 3rd and Thursday 9th as well (there is also a Saturday 4th arranged but I’m DJ’ing Cath & Paul’s Wedding – so I won’t be at the DeVere that night).

Harriet’s 18th ~ The Trailer

Here’s a quick – very quick – flavour of Harriet’s 18th Party from last Saturday.

We’ll be putting together a longer video when we’ve gathered together some photo’s.
So, if you were there – please let us have your pictures a.s.a.p.

Saturday Morning post

Just a quick update …

Last night we did Mark’s 40th at the Rosebowl – great fun – more on that later.

Tonight Joe launches his new brand “DJ Zeph Taylor” at Harriet’s 18th. We’re really looking forward to this one – it’s been in the diary for a long time. Then on Sunday Joe get’s to play a club set for the first time. Hopefully we’ll have more on both of these gigs for you too!

I also wanted to give you a quick heads up for next Saturday when I’m back at the Concorde Club.
Admission is for Concorde Club members and their guests only as always, but I know some of you are members, or have friends who are members, so why not join me.

Oh, and still no call for the Royal Wedding.

Wedding Tips Video 1

This is the first in, what I hope to be, a series of videos of my thoughts and ideas on how to make your Wedding Party special.

I hope to post a video every week so you may want to subscribe to our YouTube channel.

The Party DJ is the business I run with the help of my son, Joe, providing disco’s for all sorts of events. We are committed to providing a service that delivers everything our clients require.

The music track we’ve used for this video is “So There I Was” by Deadmau5, from his “Random Album Title” album. This album also includes his big hit “I Remember” as well as “Brazil” which is the music track used on the Alexis Jordan hit “Happiness”. If you like it please download it from iTunes or other legal download site where it’s available for as little as £3.99.

Please take a moment to “like” “comment” and “subscribe” to our videos.

OMG it’s Tuesday!

If your planning a Wedding, Tuesdays has been a great night for TV over recent months – today is no exception! Starting at 9pm on Living ( Sky 112 & Virgin 109 – and HD for posh people) is Four Weddings, where four brides generally make a total mess of their big day … maybe that’s a bit harsh.

It’s a great format where the four brides get to go to each others wedding and score it, the bride with the best score wins a fabulous honeymoon. In the past the programme has focused on UK and US brides, the new series is four brides from four different countries. * Well the first week was – this weeks episode was all UK Brides again.

You’ll find repeats of old shows throughout the week on Living – beware it’s addictive. You may get some ideas, you’ll definitely learn from their mistakes.

Keith & Georgina’s Big Day!

Here’s another Wedding video from earlier this year. Please remember, these videos are just a bit of fun – we don’t do videos, we do disco’s!

Keith and George got married on 31st July at Elmer’s Court in Lymington. It’s a beautiful venue and the team hosting the Wedding did a fabulous job. CLICK HERE to find out more about Weddings at Elmer’s Court.

We took the whole show for this one, friends of the happy couple had collected photo’s and booked our screens as a surprise. You’ll see we had photo’s of the Bride & Groom as children, teenagers, right up to date, including pictures of their Hen and Stag nights so that all their guests could see what they got up to. We also added some pictures taken earlier in the day so that evening guests could get a flavour of the ceremony.

Keith and George have only just got back from an extended honeymoon, which is my excuse for not editing this footage sooner!
