Fuerte Fine SpeedQuizzing!

Fuerte Fine SpeedQuizzing

Introducing Fuerte Fine SpeedQuizzing!

My buddy Gary and I are running a campaign to raise the profile of our Speedquizzing on Fuerteventura. As part of this, we are running two free quizzes a week for the rest of July. As a previous supporter of my fundraising quiz nights. If you’ve already played SpeedQuizzing with me and donated to Cancer Research in Ce’s memory, I’d like to invite you to join us if you’d like to play again.

If you’ve never played before you’d still be welcome and if you could spare a few quid for Cancer Research it would be fantastic. PLEASE CLICK HERE to go to my original page about fundraising in Ce’s memory.

I’ll be doing Tuesday evenings and Gary, and his wife Gail will be hosting on Fridays. The quiz will start each night at 8pm (the doors open at 7:30) and will last around 2 hours.

How to play with Fuerte Fine SpeedQuizzing

To play you need to register and reserve your free place via TicketTailor. You will get a confirmation email with the Zoom link. Then, when you enter the Zoom room, you’ll get your SpeedQuizzing Live pin to play.

Speedquizzing is great fun. Some of the reviews and feedback we have had really cracks me up – when people tell you it’s “the best night they’ve had in lockdown” I really worry for them! For how to play PLEASE CLICK HERE.

For more details about this project and how you could have your own SpeedQuizzing Live event PLEASE CLICK HERE.

To stay in touch with our “new thing” you’d be welcome to join / like our Fuerte Fine Speedquizzing page on FaceBook – PLEASE CLICK HERE.

Remember it’s free in July and you’re welcome!

As I said, this is really about making new friends on the island, but we may well continue with a paid online quiz open to everyone (probably at £5 per team) if we get enough interest. If you have any questions please let me know – email paul@thepartydj.co.uk

Possible Solution For 2020 Wedding

Don’t get caught in a Wedding Factory

What is a Wedding Factory and why should you avoid them?

In America they call the Wedding Factory a McWedding (as in McDonalds) because everyone picks from the same menu and it’s the same wherever you go, it’s the same Big Mac in Southampton as it is London.

Don’t get me wrong, many things will be the same wherever you get married and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. However, some venues give very little choice and your wedding may well be the same as all of the weddings they host.

Some venues even restrict the suppliers you use. One of my couples from last year even changed their venue because they wanted me to MC and DJ their wedding but the venue insisted they use someone they provided.

Another point to consider is that many venues advise you to skip some traditions, like a receiving line, because they don’t want to organise anything extra. What’s a receiving line? CLICK HERE to find out and then YOU can decide if you want one or not.

How to avoid a wedding factory wedding

Please also note, just because a wedding venue hosts lots of weddings doesn’t mean it’s a wedding factory. Many busy venues still offer a personal service with lots of great options. If you want my feedback on any venue please message me.

If you don’t want a McWedding and want to avoid the Wedding Factory please take a look at my Your WOW Wedding booklet – just email me and I’ll send you a link, it’s absolutely FREE.

Finally, if you really want a wedding that is unique maybe you could consider a destination wedding and go abroad. My new venture with Gary and Gail as Fuerte Fine Weddings can help you plan a fabulous celebration of your love with a ceremony and party in Fuerteventura. CLICK HERE to see our website.

My news

Did you see my news?

Did you see my news on social media over the last few day? If you don’t follow me on FaceBook please click here and get following!

I have hinted about my news for quite a while but now it’s finally out there … I’m going Global! Well, that’s not entirely true. My friends will tell you I don’t really DJ very far from home and that “up North” for me is anywhere above Winchester. Well that’s not entirely true – coming up in 2020 I’ve got bookings in Devon and North Dorset but I do tend to stay local a lot of the time.

I’m very lucky to now also have a home in Fuerteventura, so Global for me is offering my services there too. I’ve set this up with my friends Gary and Gail who have moved to Fuerte. We have a new business called Fuerte Fine Weddings offering wedding planning and advice along with our celebrant, MC and DJ services. CLICK HERE to go to our new Fuerte Fine Weddings website. Basically if you want to have a destination wedding you should speak to us. Oh, and if you don’t understand what a celebrant does please click here.

This won’t change anything over here at all. I’m still taking 2020 and 2021 bookings in the UK. I’m still available for my couples whenever they need me, when I’m in Fuerteventura I have great wifi. That means even though I can’t always meet in person I can video chat via FaceTime, Skype or FaceBook Messenger. Actually I get better internet access in Spain than I do in the UK.

Whether it a wedding in South West England or Fuerteventura, I’d love to be considered to help you create the day of your dreams so please get in touch. CLICK HERE and let’s have a chat.
