Quiztastical Big Night In For Ce ~ Wednesday 3rd June 2020
This coming Wednesday I’m hosting the ‘Quiztastical Big Night In For Ce’ and YOU are invited!
Let me explain… In April 2019 I lost my wife, Cecilia, to Cancer. She was 59. Ce was first diagnosed with Breast Cancer in December 2002 and since then it has been with us every day since then. She beat it the first time but then it came back as Secondary Bone Cancer in June 2014. So Cancer Research is a cause very close to my heart.
Next Wednesday, 3rd June, is Ce’s birthday and I decided to do something in her memory and, hopefully at the same time, raise money for Cancer Research – so we’re having an online quiz and, as I said before, YOU are invited!
When I say it’s an online quiz I may be underselling it. If you haven’t used the SpeedQuizzing Live app before, you are in for a pleasant surprise. Basically it turns your phone into an answer pad. When you get the answer right you score points, and there are bonus points for the fastest finger with the correct answer. No pens, no paper, no cheating, and for me the best thing is no adding up and no disputes!
As well as your phone or a tablet for the app, you’ll need another tablet or a computer to run Zoom. There you’ll be able to see the questions and interact with the other players. Here’s a picture from my practice session on Thursday:
So, you’ll need Zoom and the SpeedQuizzing Live app, and you’ll need to decide on your team name. The Zoom link is below and I’ll give you the SpeedQuizzing Live game PIN when you join the Zoom meeting.

There is no charge to do the quiz – you don’t have to donate. On the other hand, you don’t have to play the quiz to donate!
