Frustration!!!
I’ve had another call this morning from a Bride who has been let down by a DJ for the 22nd of this month ~ that’s 16 days away. The venue they have booked is one of the most striking in the area, the perfect setting in the heart of The New Forest, I’ve worked there several times. I’m actually available for her date, the only Saturday I am free this month, and I gave her my normal fee for an evening wedding party. Reading between the lines from her response I’d imagine my fee was considerably more than she was paying the guy who let her down. I’m hoping she’ll call me back and that I can help her.
Unfortunately there are DJ’s out there who let people down when they get “a better offer”. Most of the DJ’s I know would ask around and find a replacement for the couple if they were taken ill or couldn’t fulfil a booking. Good business people meet their clients, take deposits, issue contracts and honour them.
I have PDF on booking suppliers – it’s relevant to all the suppliers you might book for a wedding, not just DJ’s – if you’d like a copy please email paul@thepartydj.co.uk
