Wow Wedding Countdown ~ Tip 2
The “O” in WOW stands for OTHERS
Get others involved in your wedding.
You will have talented friends and family who will love to help you prepare for your special day.

Have your family and friends participate directly in your wedding day. This goes way beyond just inviting them to do a reading at your ceremony.
For example, if you have a professional or gifted amateur singer or musician attending, ask them to perform for your ceremony or during the reception.
I’ve been at weddings which included performances by guests who were singers, guitarists, actors, comedians and magicians.
You may know people who are gifted in crafts and making things … the list goes on.
Maybe it could be a special dance routine with friends, hens or stags.
When you are creating your WOW wedding get others involved and everything will become more memorable!

At my Creating Your WOW Wedding evening on 15th November I’ll be running through a wedding timeline explaining how you can use these ideas to make your wedding totally unique, elegant and fun. Tickets are £10 per couple and there is a money-back guarantee AND every £10 goes to The Countess Mountbatten Hospice. 2014 ~ This Was The Year That Was!

IMG_1409

Here are a couple more of my new blogs (video logs) looking at 2014.

I really should point out that all the photos I use on this page, my website, and on my FaceBook page are my couples – real people and not stock images.  I’m very lucky to have some photographer friends who allow me to use their images but most of the pictures are my snaps.

OK, so here’s my look at the first six months of 2014. (This actually appeared a few days ago but I’ve reposted to keep everything together)  If you weren’t confused before you probably are now!

And this one is July to December.

I’ve been very lucky to work with so many amazing couples and clients this year ~Thank you all.

I really am blessed ~ I LOVE my job!

Thanks for watching ~ Happy New Year ~ Cheers!

FUN ideas!

My aim is to try and help couples create “unique. elegant and FUN” weddings – that’s on my website and my business cards. I get so excited when I hear about new ideas that could be incorporated in future weddings. So many people seem to think they know it all and there’s nothing new to learn, in the last six months I’ve added several brilliant ideas to my planning pack.

It was great to see this article from BUZZ FEED when it started to appear on my friends FaceBook feed this week – 31 Impossibly Fun Wedding Ideas!
Many of the ideas I’d seen before, a couple I think need very careful planning and some aren’t overly practical, but it just goes to show what people can come up with and that there is always something else to learn.

My favourite was Number 3 ~ Enlist your grandmas to be your flower girls. How cool is that! AND it got me thinking about other ideas to explore to create unique, elegant and fun weddings.

There are plenty more ideas in the book Wedding Day Secrets – email me to get a PDF or let’s get together for a chat and I’ll bring you a copy. paul@thepartydj.co.uk

The Party Hosts

Studiorouge Commercial

As well as trading as The Party DJ I’m also very proud to be part of The Party Hosts with Alan and Gary. The Party Hosts came about because the three of us are great friends, share values, had all trained with Mark and Rebecca Ferrell among others, and live fairly close to each other. We originally got together to offer back-up for our clients in the event of something unforseen happening to any of us just prior to a booking. We then decided it might be a good plan to develop a brand that we could market and build together.

It’s now about a year since we got together and things are really starting to take off. Yesterday we launched our Wedding Entertainment Show – our weekly video tips on planning your wedding from an entertainment perspective.

We also started The Party Hosts blog here The Party Hosts

This weekend will also see the start of another of our Party Hosts projects … but we’ll tell you about that next week, when we should have some pictures.

Finally, for now, we have also been entered for the 2014 Wedding industry Awards

Georgina’s Wedding Blog Update

You may remember a while ago I posted the first four in a series of Wedding Blogs from a lady called Georgina (comedy writer and actress Anna Morris), if you missed them CLICK HERE

I’m pretty sure the wedding was this month – I wonder if it will actually go ahead (yes I know it’s all a spoof, but how will it end?) I believe Georgina / Anna is currently performing at the Edinburgh fringe. Anyway, here are the latest 3 videos in the series …

Video Blog 5
Georgina visits her wedding venue

Video Blog 6
Georgina and Simon’s present list

Video Blog 7
Find our what happened when Eleanor, Mother of the Bridegroom, ordered the cake(s).

Toasts!

I’ve just been directed to these two very good videos on YouTube from THINKER.

First we have some tips on writing your toast …

and the second one, more great advice on delivering your toast

Toasts and speeches are covered for Bridegrooms in my special “men only” Bridegrooms workshop ~ Click here for more information. 😉

More Than Words

First dances ~ what would you choose ~ what did you have?

Some of you may know I frequently stage a “Guess The First Dance” competitions and invite the guests to fill in a card with their answer, I then find any correct guesses and the Bride and Bridegroom draw out a winner for a special prize.

Nobody got this one a couple of weeks ago, what a classic!

Georgina’s Wedding Blogs

A while back I posted the first of Georgina’s wedding video blogs and I thought it was time to have a catch up 😉

Your wedding venue …

Georgina’s wedding make up tips …

An apology from Georgina …

The wedding is in August so I’m sure there is still more to come.
