Yes, public speaking can be scary but on this occasion you need to get some perspective.
You have to make a speech, but the room is full of lovely people who have been invited to be part of a very special day, they are on your side, they want you to be great. You’ve got plenty of time to prepare and practice, so there really is no reason to fail.

There’s a famous saying I love, it’s “They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel” , so speak from your heart

Research, planning, writing, rewriting and practice are key don’t just try and do it “off the cuff” even if you are the best blagger in the World

This day, these people deserves more. This wedding deserves THE BEST

Have you got to make a speech at a wedding?

Have you got to make a speech at a wedding? Is that a worry? Would you like to make a speech that is remembered for all the right reasons?

Have you got to make a speech at a wedding? Don’t panic, help is at hand! As part of my mission to stamp out boring weddings, I’m launching a series of evenings when I’ll be explaining how to make the most of those few minutes and why you shouldn’t worry about it, indeed why you should really look forward to it!

I’m delighted to announce the WOW Wedding Speakers Club will be held across Thursday’s 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th October at Le Chanteclerc, SO40 2NX, just off junction 1 of the M27, at Cadnam.

The course is to be run over four weeks which is quite a commitment but well worth the investment in time. Each week we’ll look at the opportunities making a speech offers and how you can make the most of your few minutes in the spotlight. We’ll meet at Le Chanteclerc from 7pm to be ready to start by 7:30 and will be finished by 9pm, so a total of six hours across the four weeks that will help you understand, focus and deliver a great speech. I promise there will be lots to think about, but nothing to worry about.

The WOW Wedding Speakers Club is open to anyone who has to give a wedding speech – Bridegrooms, Best Men, Fathers of the Bride, etc. It is open to anyone, not just people involved in weddings I’m booked to play at.

Because this is the first WOW Wedding Speakers Club I’ve decided to offer the first ten places at no charge to get things started. After that places will cost £25 (for the whole course of four weeks) with all the proceeds going to charity AND a full money-back guarantee if you are not happy after the first session.

Spaces are limited, I’d like to get between ten and sixteen speakers in the WOW Wedding Speakers Club. So, if YOU have got to make a speech at a wedding, get in touch and get booked onto the course today.

Thank you for your response. ✨

One of my vehicles is a VW and when I saw this video it seemed appropriate to share here. It’s a great example of how being underprepared can mean things don’t go according to plan even when the speech is to be given by someone who really cares. Not everyone gets a second chance, in fact it’s very rare.

Have you got to make a speech at a wedding? My advice is definitely be prepared, don’t just try and blag it – at best you might get away with it but you’ll certainly think of things afterwards that you would have liked to say, at worse … well, let’s not go there, just complete the form above and book your seats today!
