You don't know what you don't know

You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know

“You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know” or “They Don’t Know What They Don’t Know’ is an expression that came on my radar back in 2011 when I was on a DJ training workshop. That day changed a lot for me and even today when I was talking to my colleague Stephen those words came up again.

“You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know” is particularly relevant to couples planning their weddings – even if they’ve been married before – because there is so much that can impact on their big day that they’ve no idea about!

I’ve seen numerous weddings, trained and studied extensively, I’ve so much knowledge and experience that I try and share to help couples, I’ve even been recognised with a “Contribution To The Wedding Industry” award for my efforts.

I never really know what to call my role, what I do is so much more than just DJ/MC for my couples – I wouldn’t call myself a wedding planner but I do help all my couples with their planning, and not just my couples.  My WOW events are open to anyone regardless of whether they book me or another DJ/MC.

My next event is this coming Tuesday (20th Feb) and it’s being held at The Ring Studio in Southampton. For full details CLICK HERE to go the event page. You will find out so much in less than a couple of hours, it’s free to attend and you’ll even get a free drink – it really is a “no brainer”.

Here’s one more link to look at with lots of bits and pieces to help you with your plans PLEASE CLICK HERE – this blog is jam-packed full of FREE advice!

You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know … but you could know a lot more if you join me on Tuesday – reserve your places using the link above.

Creating Your WOW Wedding ~ 20th February

The next Creating Your WOW Wedding ~ 20th February, that’s just a few days away!

I announced this a couple of weeks ago but the venue has changed and spaces are limited. We are now at The Ring Studio in London Road, Southampton. CLICK HERE for more about The Ring Studio.

The evening is just a chance for me to explain how your wedding day will probably run and what are the key moments and how you can make the most of them. It’s an informal, fun event and there is no awkward audience participation – don’t worry I won’t pick on you! In just a couple of hours you’ll have a much better understanding of what to expect so that you won’t be stressed just excited.

Creating Your WOW Wedding ~ 20th February

I’ll go through the wedding day time line and tell you how to add simple touches to make it better by utilising my “WOW Wedding” philosophy where you …
Weave yourselves into the day.
Get Others involved
and explain Why.

If you haven’t read ‘Your WOW Wedding’ let me know and I’ll send you a link – it’ll take about 30 minutes to read and will really help you create a day your friend and family will love.

You don’t even have to be one of my clients, this FREE event is open to anyone who’s getting married and you can even bring friends or other members of your family if you wish.

There is a form below if you’d like to reserve places or ask any questions.

This will be the only Creating Your WOW Wedding event this spring.

DJ at Three Choirs Vineyard Wedding Fair

This Sunday it’s back to wedding fairs with the PMN event at Three Choirs Vineyard. As yet I haven’t had the opportunity to DJ at Three Choirs Vineyard but I’m hearing good things about the venue and the service they offer, so hopefully I’ll play there soon. Wedding fairs are a great way to get ideas and collect information, I’d encourage every couple to visit a few fairs and take the time to talk to all the exhibitors – these people are often wedding experts who have lots of valuable experience they are happy to share.

DJ Three Choirs Vineyard

Sunday’s event is between 11am and 3pm with over 45 exhibitors including several of my colleagues from The Hampshire Wedding Group including Colin and Kate from Entity Photographic , Sue from Suephisticated Cakes, John from Charles Gale and The Ring Studio. There is plenty of free parking onsite and it’s £2 per adult entry fee with children going free.

Three Choirs Vineyard is easy to find, it’s situated between Botley and Wickham on The A334 (Botley Road) at SO32 2HL. CLICK HERE to find out more about Three Choirs Vineyard.

Please note … I did say in a previous post that I was exhibiting at The Summer Wedding Festival on 30th July – this event has now been CANCELLED. I hope to publish a list of the Autumn wedding fairs I’ll be at exhibiting at in the next few weeks – so keep your eyes peeled. In the meantime, it would be great to see you on Sunday especially if you are looking for a DJ at Three Choirs Vineyard.
