The Hampshire Wedding Supplier Awards ~ Finalist

I’m delighted to confirm I have been selected as a Hampshire Wedding Supplier Awards Finalist.

I’ll be posting again soon about why I enter these competitions – I know they are not everybody’s thing and some people think they are self-serving but both of the awards I am entering this year are independently judged and I believe are therefore credible.

The Hampshire Wedding Supplier awards are organised by South Coast Events. This is the first year of the Hampshire Awards following on from the success of The Dorset Awards. South Coast Events are also the organisers of the Hampshire and Dorset Wedding Festival events.

So, how did I become a Hampshire Wedding Supplier Awards Finalist … the judging process has been very well thought out. I had to complete an application form, taking care to remove the name and identity of my business, thereby creating a ‘blind judging’ process. This meant that every application was judged on its content alone.

The judges were then given the entries to read and mark according to their judging criteria, they then awarded marks as they saw fit.

Naomi Thomas from The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation, a charity dedicated to organising and funding weddings for couples affected by terminal or life-limiting illnesses. Samantha Shiers, who is a Lead Merchandiser with Hobbycraft. Kevin Sheldrake, Owner and Principal of The Boardroom Advisory. Kelly Hood, Director of Boho Weddings. And finally Victoria Southernwho is the Events Manager for Dorset Chamber of Commerce & Industry

As I have been chosen as a Hampshire Wedding Supplier Awards Finalist, I’ve also been entered into ‘Overall High Score’, ‘People’s Choice’, ‘Peer’s Choice’ and ‘Contribution to the Wedding Industry’ awards.

The Hampshire Wedding Supplier Awards Ceremony is taking place on Friday 18th November at The Grand Harbour Hotel, Southampton.

Spring Bridegroom’s Events

My FREE Spring Bridegroom’s Events are fast approaching. I believe these evenings can help guys understand what’s going to happen at their wedding and how they can really make sure their Bride-To-Be has the best day possible – I wish EVERYBODY would take the opportunity to attend! The dates are Thursday 3rd and Tuesday 8th March

Although it’s called a workshop it’s really just a couple of hours with a beer or a cuppa talking through a few basic ideas that could make all the difference. Bridegroom’s are encouraged to bring their Best Man and/or Ushers.

Among the tips there will be plenty of great advice on how to deliver a brilliant speech and there will be time to ask questions about any concerns you may have.

These two special evenings are being held on Thursday 3rd (very limited spaces) and Tuesday 8th March, that’s this Thursday and then again next Tuesday. Doors open at 7pm for a 7:30 start and we should be finished by 9:30 – There’s even a “Top Secret” booklet to take away.

These are the only two planned Bridegroom’s events until the Autumn.

So gentlemen, it’s just two hours of one evening to help you get it right on a day that you’ll remember for the rest of your life, – so don’t miss out!
