This Sunday it’s The Ageas Hilton Wedding Fair
This will probably be our last wedding fair of the year so please come and say hello. The Ageas Hilton is Southampton’s newest major hotel and the first wedding there earlier this year was really good. The Hilton is built into the side of The Ageas Bowl, the home of Hampshire Cricket Club.
I’ll tell you what … come along and say “You are Paul The Party and I claim my prize” and I’ll have something very special for you!
This coming Sunday is the Southampton Guildhall Wedding Showcase. This is the first time the Guildhall event will be held on a Sunday, previously it’s been on Thursday evenings.
I’ll be hosting the fashion shows at noon and 2pm – which could be interesting because my wedding on Saturday is a 1am finish and I have to be at the Guildhall for 9am … never mind, I can sleep on Monday!

One of the suggestions to help with the early stages of wedding planning from my blog yesterday (previous post below) was to visit wedding fairs. It will help you get ideas of what’s on offer in your area.
Take time to talk to the suppliers at their displays, especially the well-established businesses – these people are often experts and have great insights into what else is available.
Be careful not to get too excited and start booking things – just look, talk to people and gather information.
I’ll be at several fairs over the coming months. My first will be next weekend at the St Mary’s Stadium on Sunday 11th January.
As well as exhibiting I’ll be providing the soundtrack for the fashion show with gowns supplied by the excellent Sofi Bridal from Basingstoke. It’s worth noting there is no Southampton Guildhall wedding fair this Spring, it will be back in the Autumn.
The following Sunday, 18th January, I’ll be at Rhinefield House in the heart of The New Forest.
In February I’ll be at fairs at New Place on Sunday the first, Plaitford Village Hall on Saturday 21st, and Salisbury Racecourse on Sunday twenty-second. My brochure will also be in the goodie bags at the fair at The Botleigh Grange.

It’s been an amazing Wedding season for me this year, I still have at least one more to come and I feel so lucky to have played a part in so many amazing days. I meet most of my clients at Wedding Fairs and this weekend there’s another one, this time at Southampton Grand Harbour. It starts at 10:30 in the morning and finishes at 3:30 in the afternoon and I’ll be talking to lots of couples and giving out my beautiful packs full of information about wedding entertainment planning – so if your coming please stop and say hello.
