Married In March

Why, you may ask, would anyone get married in March? Well actually it’s been fairly constant for me as a month for weddings as is illustrated by the four pictures here. Potentially it’s another month when the schools might be on holiday. Easter can fall any time between March 22 and April 25, the Easter weekend in 2018 takes place from Good Friday on March 30 until Easter Monday on April 2 – making Easter Sunday also April Fool’s day!

March Wedding

So, what will the weather be like if you get married In March? Here’s a link to MyWeather2.com and here’s a summary of their thoughts …

Temperature ~ March daytime temperatures will generally reach highs of around 11°C that’s about 52°F. At night the average minimum temperature drops down to around 4°C, that’s 40°F. In recent times the highest recorded temperature in March has been 21°C that’s 69°F, with the lowest recorded temperature -8°C, about 18°F.

Rainfall ~ The average monthly amount of precipitation has been recorded at around 40 mm, that’s 2 inches. Throughout the month you can expect to see rain or drizzle falling on 18 days of the month, with snow falling on 1 days.

Sunshine ~ For March expect the sun to shine for an average of 6 hours per day.

Pretty damp then, but with the possibility of some good days as Spring starts to … well, Spring 2018 in Northern Hemisphere will begin on Tuesday, March 20and ends on Thursday, June 21.

  • This year March has started with the worst snow locally for a few years!

Wedding DJ Winchester

These pictures are from some of my couples weddings who got married In March, they are from weddings at The Tithe Barn near Petersfield, Winchester Guildhall, Audley’s Wood near Basingstoke and Rhinefield House in the heart of the New Forest. All four of them were wonderful and the photographers were able to get some outside pictures.

Many people like to pick a month when there is nothing else happening – for example one when neither of them celebrate their birthdays. Some pick the anniversary of their first meeting or when they got engaged – people certainly seem to be getting married all the time these days. Next up April weddings – see you next week.

Party DJ News

Hello, I’m Paul and this is The Party DJ News.

As you can probably guess from my lack of posts recently it’s been a busy old year. Even though I’ve reduced the number of bookings I take, my days are taken up with meetings, creating special playlists, writing Love Stories and preparing all kinds of “great stuff” for my couples. I’ve now just got two more weddings this year and most of the prep is done so I wanted to get back on here and get my blogging head working.

Once again it’s been a wonderful year fluff great weddings with couples coming up with even more unique touches. At a recent wedding I think the Bridegroom created a moment in his speech when over half of us had tears in our eyes – it was truly beautiful. I’ve also seen plenty of wonderful home-crafted touches which you’ll be able to see when I start posting “Real Wedding” blogs to carry on adding to the booklet you can see here.

September always seems to be the month I visit venues a little bit further afield, last year it was swing and Sidmouth. This year is no exception, this coming weekend I’ll be overseas … well on the Isle of Wight actually. As usual, when the wedding is a bit further away, we’ll be travelling the day before so we can reassure the couple we’re there and ready for their big day.

Sunday ~ Rhinefield House DJ

Tomorrow is my first wedding fair of 2016 at the gorgeous Rhinefield House in the heart of the New Forest. I currently seem to DJ at Rhinefield House once a year but it’s a venue I really like and would love to do more there.

Rhinefield is part of the Hand Picked Hotel Group which also includes the fabulous Audleys Wood Hotel in Basingstoke which is another of my favourites.

So if you are looking for an amazing wedding venue and an amazing DJ you can kill two birds with one stone tomorrow.
