Celebrating 25 years of Pressing Needs
If only every Sunday night was like this one!
This was a diner and dance party to celebrate 25 years of trading by local company Pressing Needs. The theme was Colour Glitz & Glamour (just in case you hadn’t guessed) and the venue had been totally transformed with drapes and decor – the caretaker of the hall told me she hadn’t seen anything like it in all the years she’d been involved there.
First there was a drinks reception in a side room before the guests were invited through to the main hall for a full three-course meal. Vanilla Catering provided their usual excellent standard of food with great service. Not only that but there was a timeline for the evening and Vanilla delivered every course on schedule.
After diner there were speeches and some presentations before we opened up the dance floor which was instantly filled and stayed that way all night.
I’d been “warned” in advance that traditional party classics would be requested and they certainly were ~ “Ooops Upside Your Head”, “YMCA”, “The Macarena”, to name just a few. At the other end of the hall Bobbie from Cheeky Pix had her work cut out too with everyone making the most of all the fun on offer.
We even had a conga line – well it was Notting Hill Carnival weekend so a quick blast of Arrow’s “Hot Hot Hot” seemed in order.
When it was finally time to stop we gathered everyone who had lasted to the end together for a “last man standing” photo ~ they certainly look like they had a good time ~ that’s how to spend a Sunday evening! Thank you everyone from Pressing Needs for a great night.
