My friend Paul from Rio sent me a video

I’ve just been watching a video from old college friend, and regular Gold listener Paul who now lives in Rio! Paul helps with a group who took part in The Parade of Ambassadors of Joy 2011, the first Samba School for disabled people in the world.

The caption is in Portuguese, so I stuck it through translation software and got this …

“Parade of Ambassadors of Joy 2011. First Samba School for disabled people in the world. The parade moved in 2011 to all the sambodrome of Champions on Saturday March 12. All components made happy and marched to the sound of the Master Battery Fina Batucada Riko. The plot of “sun’s light, is Life … The Ambassadors illuminates the avenue. ” With Samba plot Vanessa Valverde. It was exciting! Show! Congratulations to all the ambassadors of joy and his grit! Thanks Master Riko!”

Give it a thumbs up or a “like” and spread the love ~ cheers
Watch your ears – it’s loud!

UPDATE FROM PAUL IN RIO …
“We take 1,800 people into the big Rio de Janeiro parade. And 1,100 have some kind of handicap: 200 are blind; 180 wheelchair users; 250 mental problems; 60 are kids with cancer whilst the rest are made up up brain damaged people, people from car accidents with no limbs and also autistic people. All under one roof. I think that this is the only place in the world that has ALL of the major disabilities together.”
