Life Sounds Better To Music ~ December 2020… and so the year we will all remember for the wrong reasons comes to a close. It’s been a tough one for everyone, but we made it. As I mentioned last month CLICK HERE, there’s not much new music released in December every year hence this months post is a bit different. Just one new album to mention and then lots of me, me, ME!

Taylor Swift ~ Evermore

That’s right, Taylor Swift released another album, “Evermore”. Her last album “Folklore” came out of the blue at the end of July and just under five months later she’s back again. “Evermore” is her ninth studio album and carries on where “Folklore” finished, collaborating with many of the same writers, musicians and collaborators. It’s a very chilled out reflective album, perfect for winter nights by the fire.

and that’s about it for new music in life sounds better to music in December 2020. now it’s time for me to step up to the mark with Steve and Gary, and give you something else to keep you entertained as most of us find ourselves with more time on our hands. First two radio shows I made with Steve back at the end of 2010. Then two more with Gary from our new venture on Real FM.

Gold Show 61 ~ Christmas Special December 2010

Back to December 2010. Ten years ago the World was a very different place – if you knew then what we know now what would we have done about it? Anyway, Steve and I had been doing our shows for over a year. We decided to do two specials with more music and less rabbit.

Show 61 includes great music from Gary’s Gang, The Crusaders, The Whispers, Sylvester, The Beginning Of The End, Roy Ayres and George Duke, to name just a few. Two hours of top tunes – enjoy.

Gold Show 62 ~ New Years Special December 2010

If anything, this one is even better. Listening to it now I’m proud to have been part of it – Steve assures me I did contribute. I guess having used the tech for a year we were very much “in the zone”.

This show features The Emotions with Earth, Wind & Fire, The Sugarhill Gang, Snap, Jimmy “Bo” Horne, Donna Summer, Azymuth, Congress and many, many more. Two hours of non-stop bangers!

The Fuerte Fine Guys Real Beach Party Show 2

First broadcast on 20th December 2020, Show 2 of my new weekly show with Gary, my Fuerte Fine buddy!

Show 1 was OK, but only just. On this one we are starting to find our feet, there is a lot to get used to. We’re hoping things will get easier (and therefore smoother) over the coming weeks! Featuring The Scissor Sisters, Laid Back, Janet & Luther, Chic, Estelle & Kanye, Peyton & Wayne G, The Beloved, Michael Gray, plus loads more!

The Fuerte Fine Guys Real Beach Party Show 3

Show 3 … I didn’t mention this before but, at the moment, I’m in Hampshire and Gary is in Fuerteventura. We are trying to do our best to create a weekly show without the benefit of actually hanging out together. There is a lot to learn. We have to find “ways around” some of the process – but I think we are getting there. The other guys on the station have been really helpful and it’s nice to feel part of something again.
