Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity Family Fun Day at The Chilworth Manor Hotel

Last Sunday was the Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity Family Fun Day at The Chilworth Manor Hotel.

Fun Day

The event was very well supported by local businesses and there were all kinds of things to see and activities to try out.

There was a bouncy castle, sumo arena and other activities supplied by Blake Entertainments, Oxygen Freejumping provided a big trampoline/bouncer and the team from My Coaching ran dodge-ball, mini-soccer sessions and various other sessions.

There were Fun Runs throughout the day, a treasure hunt, colouring, cake, sweets, children’s disco and Belinda with her hula-hoops!

The chefs from Chilworth Manor kept everyone fed with a burgers, hot dogs and bacon rolls.

Also hidden away in the grounds was Dan from Bushcraft UK who was telling people about lighting fires and how to camp safely. Dan also provided Hen and Stag packages! CLICK HERE to find out more.

We were also joined by a Chinese Dragon who danced around the activities bringing good luck and amazing super powers to everyone taking part in the activities.

I was set up on the rear terrace providing background music and trying to keep everyone informed of what was happening as the day went on. This also involved regular trips to the front of the hotel where the fun runs took place. I don’t know about everbody else but after 8 hours on site I was shattered! As I left I saw Harry Kazzam was (pictured below being carried around by a giant rabbit) was still doing magic tricks for a big group of children (CLICK HERE for more about Harry Kazzam).

Chilworth Manor is a fabulous venue for a wedding, my snaps don’t really do it justice, the grounds are beautiful and extensive. For more information about Chilworth Manor CLICK HERE

Among the mascots who spent the day playing with the children were Chase and Sky from Paw Patrol who were very popular and posed for numerous pictures and played with the little ones

Also supporting again were the very excellent SpeedyPix with the first outing of their new iPhone inspired Photo Booth. It created a lot of interest and Ann-Marie was very busy helping visitors with their photos. Please CLICK HERE to find out more about SpeedyPix.

Thanks to everyone involved in putting on the Family Fun Day (sorry I haven’t managed to mention everyone) and the hundreds of visitors who came to support the event, I’m looking forward to the next one!
