Saturday Night

Saturday night was great fun. The event was Carly and Christopher’s engagement party at the excellent Roddington Forge. It was also a chance for Joe to come along and play Tag-Team on the decks. We had a fine time mixing some classic hip-hop, dance anthems, current floor-fillers and a few cheesy tracks from back in the day that went down almost too well!

All together now …
“Get on up when you’re down
Baby, take a good look around
I know it’s not much, but it’s okay
Keep on moving on anyway”

Great people and good times!

Feedback …

Just thought I’d share some feedback I’ve had following a recent 50th birthday party.

“Thanks for doing a great job last week. A lot of our guests and the staff at the venue were very impressed. Your professionalism, enthusiasm and sense of fun were plain to see.

Hope to see you another time.”

Last night at the Concorde Club

Just a quick post to say thanks to everyone at the Concorde last night. Once again it was lovely to be greeted by so many regulars who are always so kind.

It was strange for me because, having made the switch to DJ’ing from my laptop with the Pioneer controller, it was back to working on the Denon CD player – I don’t think I made too many mistakes! As always I had a fabulous selection of requests ranging from Chairman Of The Board, Abba and James Brown right up to David Guetta, Rizzle Kicks, and Example. I also got to play some classic eighties and nineties club floor-fillers.

I’ll be back at the Concorde, God willing, on Saturday 26th November.

Tuesday 6th ~ Don’t Tell The Bride

If your not watching the football, or like me out for a meeting tonight, you may be interested to know the new series of Don’t Tell The Bride starts at 9pm on BBC3.

This is the series in which the groom must choose every detail of his wedding, from venue to cake to wedding dress… seriously ladies, would you really let your man plan it all?

There are numerous repeats (details at the bottom of the page linked above) and the show will also be available on the iPlayer.

Sunday 4th September ~ Botley Park

Tomorrow (Sunday 4th September) is my first wedding fair of the Autumn season. This one is with PMN who always run excellent events and I’m really looking forward to meeting lots of new couples planning their special day.

It’s at the MacDonald Botley Park Hotel, and the doors open at 10.30am and close at 3.30pm, so there’s plenty of time to have a good look around.

Pauline & Rob’s Wedding at The Rose Bowl

Yesterday it was my great honour to provide the soundtrack to Pauline and Rob’s Wedding at The Rose Bowl, the home of Hampshire Cricket Club. First we had background music for the guests arrival in the Derek Shackleton Suite, next was the ceremony music in the Hambledon, then back into the Shackleton for drinks and photo’s. Then more background music for the Wedding Breakfast in the Hambledon 2, and finally upstairs to the Robin Smith Suite for the Evening Party.

I have to compliment the team at the Rose Bowl on an excellent job, the attention to detail and the obvious passion to deliver a great day for everyone was a joy to see. Whether you are a cricket fan or not, The Rose Bowl is well worth a look, CLICK HERE, contact Rachel and the Conference and Events team.

It was a lovely day, which really isn’t a surprise as I’ve worked for Pauline and Rob a couple of times before and they are a great couple with a great group of family and friends.
