2014 ~ This Was The Year That Was!

IMG_1409

Here are a couple more of my new blogs (video logs) looking at 2014.

I really should point out that all the photos I use on this page, my website, and on my FaceBook page are my couples – real people and not stock images.  I’m very lucky to have some photographer friends who allow me to use their images but most of the pictures are my snaps.

OK, so here’s my look at the first six months of 2014. (This actually appeared a few days ago but I’ve reposted to keep everything together)  If you weren’t confused before you probably are now!

And this one is July to December.

I’ve been very lucky to work with so many amazing couples and clients this year ~Thank you all.

I really am blessed ~ I LOVE my job!

Thanks for watching ~ Happy New Year ~ Cheers!

Here’s the second of my 123/ABC vlogs.                                                                      It’s part one of my look back at 2014.                                                                            So, number two is part one.                                                                                            Are you confused yet … I think I am!

This year has been full of some amazing highs working with wonderful clients.
There was also some great training including spending time with Randy Bartlett at the 2014 Pro Mobile Conference in May.

So here’s my video compilation of some of my highlights from 2014 …

Part two to follow on New Years Eve.

2015 ~ Here I come!

So, what’s the big announcement you ask.  Well for the last few months I’ve been working hard on … well actually it hasn’t really been me doing the work … well not all of it.

Here’s my new logo designed by Deon from deondesign.co.uk. Deon is currently finishing my new website which will go live early next year and I cannot speak highly enough of his service and attention to detail ~ TOP bloke!  Did you notice I’ve also got another version for my banner at the top of the page!

But there’s more!  I’ve been putting together some new promo videos with the help of some footage shot by John from vision-weddings.co.uk. John doesn’t only do weddings, a lot of his work is in the corporate sector so if you know anyone who’s looking for a great local film maker send them to  John at vision-productions.co.uk

… and more!!

John recently filmed some of my couples talking about their weddings for a series I’m calling “Looking Back”.  First up are Charlotte and Simon who got married in July last year (2013).

There’s actually quite a lot more, but I think I’ll save that for later.

So finally for now, here’s my 2015 press advert.

OK, so you probably think that I’m just lazy or maybe that I’ve got nothing to say anymore …

WRONG

I’m sorry I’ve been neglecting you but things are about to change.

This post is the start of a countdown to … well I can’t say just now but I’m really excited.  I’ve got some amazing stuff to share with you and I’ve just decided that Christmas Eve will be the start of the reveal!

So one week, just seven days to go …

Saturday’s Wedding

First kiss as a married couple

First kiss as a married couple

Last Saturday’s wedding of Jen and Olly at the excellent Beaulieu Hotel was full of very special moments.

I was delighted to provide services throughout the day, from Ceremony music through to the last dance.

Jen had picked a beautiful song by Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville called “All My Life” for her entrance. The Bridal party entered to an instrumental version and then I faded over to the original vocal version for her entrance with her Dad, they arrived at the front at the end of the first chorus – it was perfect.

Happy Anniversary Jen & Martin

I’ve got so many happy memories of Jen and Martin’s beautiful wedding at Marwell.

It’s been great to keep up with them both on FaceBook as friends and I’m looking forward to hearing some more great news from them soon 😉

FUN ideas!

My aim is to try and help couples create “unique. elegant and FUN” weddings – that’s on my website and my business cards. I get so excited when I hear about new ideas that could be incorporated in future weddings. So many people seem to think they know it all and there’s nothing new to learn, in the last six months I’ve added several brilliant ideas to my planning pack.

It was great to see this article from BUZZ FEED when it started to appear on my friends FaceBook feed this week – 31 Impossibly Fun Wedding Ideas!
Many of the ideas I’d seen before, a couple I think need very careful planning and some aren’t overly practical, but it just goes to show what people can come up with and that there is always something else to learn.

My favourite was Number 3 ~ Enlist your grandmas to be your flower girls. How cool is that! AND it got me thinking about other ideas to explore to create unique, elegant and fun weddings.
